Webinar: Get to know Cardinia birds

Discover the unique and surprising birds who call Cardinia Shire home. In this family-friendly 30-minute webinar, Kirsty Costa from Weekend Birder will share her tips for how to identify local birds, use free apps and take part in BirdLife Australia’s Aussie Bird Count (Australia’s largest citizen science program). All welcome.
Bird walk: Emerald Lake Park
Saturday 18 October, 9:00-10:30am
This gentle 1.5 hour walk in Emerald Park Lake is hosted by Kirsty Costa from Weekend Birder. Learn how to notice and identify birds, listen to their calls and use the Aussie Bird Count phone app. We’ll explore the banks of Lake Treganowan and step into the surrounding bushland. This area is home to birds like the Superb Lyrebird and Satin Bowerbird (pictured). All ages and birdwatching abilities welcome.
